Mark 10:45 (NIV)
"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."
Jesus — the most powerful person who ever lived — chose to serve. Not because He had to. Because He wanted to. That's the model. That's the standard.
In volleyball, the best players aren't the ones who demand the ball. They're the ones who do the dirty work — the dive, the dig, the set that nobody notices. They make everyone around them better.
God is calling you to be that kind of player. In your family. On your team. In your school. In your community. Shut up the voice that says "I deserve better." And serve.
Lord, help me to serve like Jesus — not for recognition, not for reward, but because You first served me. Amen.
I block the lie that serving others makes me less. Because of Christ, I am called to serve — and in serving, I find my greatest purpose.
Galatians 5:13 (NIV)
"You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love."
What does it look like to serve first in your daily life — at home, at school, on your team?
What is the hardest part of serving without recognition?
