Ephesians 6:13 (NIV)
"Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand."
No athlete steps onto the court without their gear. Shoes. Knee pads. Jersey. You suit up before you compete — because you know what's coming.
Paul describes the spiritual life the same way. Belt of truth. Breastplate of righteousness. Shoes of peace. Shield of faith. Helmet of salvation. Sword of the Spirit. This is not metaphor — it's a battle plan.
You are in a spiritual battle every single day. The question is whether you're showing up suited up or showing up exposed. Put on the full armor. Don't go out there unprotected.
Lord, I put on Your armor today. Truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, Your Word. I stand in Your strength — not my own. Amen.
I block the lie that I can face today's battles unprotected. I put on the full armor of God — and I stand firm in His strength.
Ephesians 6:10 (NIV)
"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power."
Which piece of the armor do you most often forget to put on — and what does that cost you?
What does it look like practically to "put on" each piece of the armor before your day begins?
