Matthew 28:19 (NIV)
"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."
Baptism is not what saves you — Jesus saves you. But baptism is how you go public with it. It's the moment you step out and say to the world: I belong to Jesus. I'm not ashamed. I'm all in.
In volleyball, there's a difference between practicing in your backyard and stepping onto the court in front of a crowd. Baptism is stepping onto the court. It's declaring your allegiance in front of witnesses.
If you've given your life to Jesus but haven't been baptized, this is your invitation. Don't wait. Go public.
Lord, give me the courage to go public with my faith. Help me to live and declare — without shame — that I belong to You. Amen.
I block the lie that my faith is a private matter. Jesus went public for me — and I will go public for Him.
Acts 2:38 (NIV)
"Peter replied, 'Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.'"
Have you been baptized? If so, what did that moment mean to you?
What does it look like to "go public" with your faith in your everyday life?
