Your Identity Is Not
Your Game.
Too many athletes build their entire identity on volleyball — their position, their stats, their scholarship, their coach's opinion. And when any of that gets taken away, they fall apart. That's not a volleyball problem. That's an identity problem.
The Shut Up and Serve internship is built on a different foundation. Before we talk about serving others, before we talk about volleyball, we go back to the most important question you will ever answer: Who are you in Christ?
You are not your playing time. You are not your ranking. You are not your scholarship offer — or the lack of one. You are a child of God, created on purpose, for a purpose. When that truth becomes the foundation of your life, everything else changes.

What the Internship Looks Like
Identity in Christ — First
Before you are a volleyball player, you are a child of God. The internship starts here — rooting every intern in who they are in Christ so that nothing on or off the court can shake them.
Faith & the Word
Daily time in Scripture, prayer, and discipleship. You will learn to build your life on the Word of God — not your stats, your playing time, or what a coach thinks of you.
Ministry & Service
Serve alongside the SUS team at camps, events, and outreach programs. Learn what it looks like to reach out to others when you are already rooted in God.
On-Court Training
Develop your volleyball skills under experienced coaches and ministry leaders — but always with the right foundation underneath.
High School Players
Rising sophomores through seniors who want to build their identity in Christ before heading into the pressure of college recruiting and college life.
College Players
College athletes who want to go deeper in their faith, gain ministry experience, and learn to lead others from a place of security in who God says they are.
