Matthew 28:19-20 (NIV)
"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you."
The last thing Jesus said before He ascended was not a suggestion. It was a command. Go. Make disciples. Baptize. Teach. This is the mission.
Every follower of Jesus is a missionary. Not just the ones who go overseas. The ones who go to school, to practice, to work, to their neighborhood. Your court is your mission field.
You don't have to have all the answers. You don't have to be a theologian. You just have to go — and tell people what Jesus has done for you. That's the Great Commission. It starts with you.
Lord, give me a heart for the people around me who don't know You. Help me to go and make disciples — starting with the people right in front of me. Amen.
I block the lie that the Great Commission is for someone else. Jesus commanded me to go — and I will go to the people He has placed in my life.
Acts 1:8 (NIV)
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
